Colleen Morrison

LPN Colleen comes from a long background in serving the public in a healthcare role, having worked as a dental assistant for many years before transitioning into managing a general practitioner's office and starting a medical aesthetics business, and then attending Discovery College to become an LPN. Originally from Alberta, Colleen has been living in BC for half her life and on the island for the last 14 years, when she moved to Duncan to start an island-wide uniform/linen/mat rental and janitorial supply company, which was sold in 2017. Colleen came to us from working in long-term care and prior to this cared for her palliative parents in her home until their passing. She has a long history of helping her fellow human beings through journeys of coping and recovery both in her professional and personal life and has made it her life goal to help people in a healthy and productive way whenever she can. Colleen is also the mother of a very talented teen daughter on the Autism Spectrum and a chihuahua named Spot who barks at all men under 50. Colleen has had a lifelong interest in the performing arts and performed as a stand-up comic while living in Edmonton, AB. She believes in equality across all gender, racial, and socioeconomic lines and identifies with and supports the LBGTQ+ awareness and rights movement. She studied philosophy and likes art, literature, philosophy, being in nature, weight training, boxing, and baking bread.
