After spiralling into the depths of her addiction, Jackie started her recovery journey in 1986. Jackie is a strong advocate of Smart Recovery and the 12-step program. Jackie’s approach to treatment is from a place of empathy, respect, and unconditional support. Jackie’s focus is on helping her patients identify their recovery capital through their lived experience and their unique potential.

Jackie has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management, and is currently enrolled in a Master of Arts in counselling psychology at Yorkville University.

Jackie is married to her partner of twenty-three years, Shawna, and they have three fur babies. Leisure time is spent hiking, walking the dogs, traveling, swimming, rowing, paddle boarding, reading, movies, spending time with relatives, and connecting with others.
