Miranda Kinniburgh

Counsellor

Miranda was born in Comox, and early on moved to the Cowichan Valley. She loved the valley growing up and has resided locally ever since. Miranda discovered early on in her career her passion for helping other people. This desire became even stronger when as she faced her own battle with addiction, realizing that the support network she had around her supporting her and championing her through early recovery was the key difference maker in her recovery journey. Her desire to be that person for others who find themselves in a similar situation is her driver. What you notice most about Miranda when you meet her is her warmth and genuine compassion and empathy for others.

She is an active member in her local recovery community, working to support other women and contribute in a meaningful way – not just through her work! She is a mom to a beautiful young daughter and is grateful to get to watch her grow up as she did in the valley. In her spare time, she’s been learning how to play tennis, in her words “it’s hard!” but she is doing it anyways!
