Dana was born in Ontario, and spent ten years living in the Yukon before settling in British Columbia. Dana completed a history degree with a focus on First Nations Peoples, and is currently completing her Masters of Counselling. After running a recovery house for 5 years, Dana joined the Cedar’s team as a practicum student and we’re excited she has officially joined our staff as a full time counsellor.
Dana has professional experience working with people who experienced trauma from Residential Schools, and domestic violence. Dana is caring, kind, compassionate and empathetic. She believes strongly in the process and power of forgiveness, so much so she’s writing her thesis on it! In what little free time she has, Dana enjoys reading, art, hiking and adventuring in the wilds of British Columbia.
