Emily was born and raised on the west coast, now working towards her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville with a BSW. She has been working for the past seven years in the field of mental health and addictions including some work with youth addictions. Her personal journey of recovery began right here at Cedars in 2013. Through her own self-discovery and ability to understand her identity and how she was shaped, she became passionate about helping others to do the same. She is committed to seeing people beyond malady and walking with them on their own journey, allowing them the ability to find their own gifts in recovery. When she is not busy studying or working, Emily is busy loving island life and the beautiful outdoors. Hiking, canoeing, backcountry campaign and island hopping with her pup Milo!
