Born in Brazil, Glaucia moved to Canada at the age of nine and grew up in the Cowichan Valley where she still resides. She has completed training in the medical office field as an administration assistant. Glaucia is fluent in English but it is her second language and she is always striving to improve her language skills. She is most interested in working in the humanitarian field so she can provide individuals with the care they need. Glaucia learned about Cedars through another staff member and after meeting with Bill, Cedars Director of Community Care, joined the Support Staff team. She was drawn to Cedars due to witnessing so many individuals attempting to deal with their addictions and she wanted to assist in their recovery journey.
Glaucia provides Cedars with a positive attitude and is always smiling. She is able to offer patients hope with an open heart and is empathetic to their situations. Glaucia is currently a Zumba and Zumbini instructor, and it working on obtaining her group Zumba teaching certificate. She is a singer and actress and participates in local plays and musicals. Glaucia enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, their four children, three dogs and two cats.
