Kara Pare  

Kara originally hails from the Cariboo/Chilcotin region of British Columbia and is currently a resident of the Cowichan Valley. She holds a certificate in Community Mental Health & Addictions From Vancouver Island University and is currently working towards finishing her Baccalaureate — Majoring in psychology and Minoring in creative arts from Thompson Rivers University. Kara was drawn to Cedars because of a deep desire to work in an immersive/active explorational atmosphere. Kara brings a sunny disposition, encourages a creative environment, and always brings along that extra 10% in all her interactions on Cedars Campus.

Kara’s goal is to hold a creative space to heal trauma. In the future, Kara plans on becoming an art/adventure therapist using the creative arts as well as the great outdoors (hiking, campfires, etc) to aid in personal exploration and healing. In her spare time Kara enjoys painting with water-colours, writing plays and comics, wrestling with her dog, and skydiving. Fun Fact, Kara has packed over 300 parachutes, Jumped out of a plane 27 times by herself, and her highest jump was from a whopping 16,000 ft!
