Linda’s Philosophy of Practice
“After practicing in the province of BC as a social worker for over twenty years I have learned that you must give people a chance to make a change. I do this for my clients by helping them understand the series of choices they made that created their current circumstances. I encourage them to take accountability for their actions. And then I work within their reality to assist them. I match them with resources be they programs, people, jobs, cultural connections, counseling, medical care, or housing that is in their best interest and is practical for where they are at in their life. This approach works because my clients can plainly see there is an opportunit for change, should they choose it.”
