After a 15-year career in the spa & wellness industry, she decided to pursue her passion for developing relationships and advocating for others by choosing to pursue a Bachelor’s of Social Work at VIU. To assist her role a Support Staff and Scheduler, Pamela uses her past experience in management, extensive community volunteer work, and community duties. Pamela’s unwavering positivity, resilience, and compassion are all valuable assets to her colleagues and patients at Cedars. Pamela is grateful for the opportunity to work in such a natural, therapeutic, and supportive environment. What she enjoys most about her role is seeing the change in the patients throughout the treatment process. She loves seeing that “lightbulb” moment when someone discovers their own potential of a life in recovery. “In this industry it can be difficult to find a place like Cedars,” she says, “It feels like home. The people I work with are amazing and supportive, and welcome people with open arms. I love that there is hope for the disease of addiction – people can and do recover from it.” Pamela appreciates the beauty of the 65 acres Cedars is situated on and finds serenity each time she visits the property. In her spare time she enjoys pilates, spending time with friends and family, and being a full-time mom.
