After working on the mainland for several years, Penny returned to Vancouver Island in 2012, where she was born and raised. Prior to joining the Cedars team, she worked with high-risk youth and vulnerable adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 7 years. Her own journey sparked a passion for addiction treatment and recovery after personally experiencing treatment. Penny has now been clean for nearly 15 years and has a very positive outlook on life. She loves assisting individuals with their recovery and enjoys sharing her own recovery journey with patients. When she isn’t at Cedars, Penny enjoys spending time with family and friends, is an avid reader, and creates piñatas for children’s birthday parties.
