Discovery Family Program

Substance use disorder is often viewed as a personal experience.  At Cedars, we know this is not true.  While substance use disorder undoubtedly has devastating effects for the user, it also has a profound impact on the other people involved in their lives.  Our entire community is affected, from spouses, children, parents, family, and friends and even our colleagues.    

Whether it be addiction, trauma, mental or physical illness, when one family member isn’t well, it can have negative consequences on the well-being of the rest of the family. As a result, we may not be functioning at our absolute best. But what if we could take a moment to break this cycle by pausing and reflecting, and in the process, ultimately discovering ourselves? Cedars’ Discovery Family Program offers just that. Whether you are personally affected by addiction, or seeking alternative paths to healing, this program is an opportunity for you to reconnect with yourself in a safe and supportive environment.

Often times, we can feel alone in our struggles. Over the course of this program, you will embark on a journey of discovery within a safe community of like-minded individuals who are also seeking healing in their families and personal lives.  No one can do this journey alone, together we find connection, healing and recovery for everyone.  Our program includes multidisciplinary care options such as group therapy, educational lectures, somatic therapy, and experiential exercises.  With these tools, you and your entire family are ready to change the story.
